Professor Lauren Bell
Lauren Cohen Bell is Associate Professor of Political Science and Pre-Law advisor at Randolph-Macon College, where she has been a member of the faculty since 1999. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Wooster and Masters of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy degrees from the Carl Albert Congressional Research and Studies Center at The University of Oklahoma. Dr. Bell teaches courses in American Government, Constitutional Law, and Public Policy. She is also the College's Pre-Law Advisor and the Assistant Director of the College's Honors Program.
Dr. Bell is the author of Warring Factions: Interest Groups, Money, and the New Politics of Senate Confirmation (The Ohio State University Press, 2002) and The U.S. Congress, A Simulation for Students (Thomson/Wadsworth, 2005) as well as single- and co-authored articles in The Journal of Politics, Political Research Quarterly, the Journal of Legislative Studies, and Judicature.

Professor Nelson Wikstrom
Nelson Wikstrom is Professor of Political Science and Public Administration at Virginia Commonwealth University, where he formerly chaired the Department of Political Science and Public Administration. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northeastern University (1963) and earned a Master of Arts (1965) and Doctor of Philosophy (1969) degree from the University of Connecticut. Dr. Wikstrom teaches courses in state and local government, and intergovernmental relations.

Dr. Wikstrom is the author or co-author of five books including American Intergovernmental Relations: A Fragmented Federal Policy, co-authored with G. Ross Stephens of the University of Missouri-Kansas City, to be released by Oxford University Press in February 2006. In addition, he has written many articles on state and local government, and intergovernmental relations which have been published in a variety of scholarly and popular journals.
